Jamie Foxx's performance in this film was outstanding. He captured Ray Charles' mannerisms, his manner of speaking, walking... all his little nuances. The resemblance was astonishing. (Foxx, an accomplished pianist starting at age 3, went to college on a classical piano scholarship!) Powerful rags to riches life story of the VISIONARY man, and the obstacles in his life. His blindness wasn't really presented as a physical hindrance, thanks to the inner strength he was given from his mother. Mostly, he was haunted by the scourge of drug addiction, infidelity, personal demons, and the evils of money... (If you enjoy this, you might also like: "Walk The Line", the Johnny Cash biopic). FIVE STARS.
