While I'm still not sure exactly how much I liked it, I certainly have some comments on it: 1: I think personally the art was pretty good, but felt like the design of the main character was a bit ridiculous and distracted me throughout the read, especially considering he is portrayed as somewhat of a ladies man and looks more akin to a dwarf in some of the art's weakest moments, mainly near the start of the book. 2: I felt like the story was intriguing enough, but it felt like it was trying a little too hard to be some sort of profound sci-fi epic, when in reality the melodrama can be a bit too much for me to stomach without sarcasm. 3: My largest problem was by far the romance. I felt no connection to the main two women Robert pines after in the book, and honestly hated him on a small scale for the nature of his relationship with the blonde-haired love interest. But I also felt to connection or sadness at any point where the romance was the carrying force in the scene: it felt rush at times, and overall boring and lacking death. Considering what RASL stands for, I would hope the book were able to match up to what it set out with its relationships. Of course the obvious must be said: it's not as good as "Bone", but I don't regret reading it, at least.
