My Review: This was a spectacular read. Full of plot twists and suspenseful situations, Marina is a complex character who not only captured my attention, but also caught my heart. Being a person who usually doesn't like the main character in books, I was shocked to find myself growing attached to her. She wasn't the only one though, I may or may not have swooned once or twice when Finn was present... Anyways, I'm picky when I read books, if it doesn't make sense and if it isn't something that COULD happen (And magic is totally plausible) then it's hard to keep me interested. Pretty much, if the characters and situation aren't realistic enough, I'm out. I was skeptical when I decided to read a time travel book. I mean, how much more complicated can you get than time travel?! It's one of many unsolved riddles in our world, the paradoxes are infinite! And when I realized that almost every second chapter would be in the past? Shoot me now. But Cristin Terrill didn't only deliver, she inspired me and captivated me. Her solution to time travel is brilliant and makes time travel that much more realistic. One of my favorite things about the book was seeing Marina (The main character) in the past and in the future, and seeing how different she was in the first chapter to who she became in the future, and then seeing her slowly start to turn into the person we knew she would become (if that makes any sense). Not only that, but also seeing where she is in the future and how it is her seemingly perfect life turned into... Well, something not so perfect at all (except for her love interest that is...). An amazing book to read for people who love action and suspense with a spoonful of romance and mystery. Also a great book for people like me who are picky about writing style and don't like to read poorly written books. Trust me, this is anything BUT poorly written. This book isn't too confusing... Although it has it's moments. If you can wrap your head around Doctor Who or any other time travel TV show/movie/book, you'll be fine with this. Overall, this book was already in my top 10 list by chapter 2, and now easily holds place number 6, with a shipper-frustration-rate of only 3 out of 10. Enjoy!
