This is a lovely story, my 3 boys, age range 14-10 years, all enjoyed it! I will be purchasing this book for my god-daughter and nieces.

This is a good story of a girl and her grandpa who share a love of nature and science. It is both funny and serious.

Told in the first person, Callie doesn't want to be molded into a little lady, she wants an interesting, intellectual life, Natalie Ross reads it like a young adult not an 11-yr-old but it works.
