Tom is trying to kill Jerry with a gun. A bad message to send to kids, play with guns. They make it appear that it's funny, but it's terrible, and I can't believe anyone would ever create a cartoon for kids about killing.
Tom is wanting to kill another cat with an axe over the head so he can have the mouse, Jerry, all to himself. In another episode Tom gets killed with a piano and goes up to heaven, but can't go in because he has been bad all his life to Jerry, and the only way to go to heaven is to go back down to get Jerry to sign a paper that says he forgives Tom of everything. It shows hell and a cartoon picture of Satan. At one point it shows Satan pushing Tom into burning fire. This gave both of my kids bad dreams.
