Add a CommentThis is by far the best book in the series. The rest were a.)bland b.)followed a pattern that was bland or c.)wanted to make me hit some sense in to Tick. Which makes me really sad, because he was such a good character in this book.
I love that the author has given the reader an opportunity to discover the meaning behind each clue given to the characters on their own while progressing through the story.
It is a really good book and I recommend it to those who like adventure into the depths of reality
i cant stop reading
A very good book. Makes you think about what is important and what is not in your life. Allows you to consider how your choices may affect others as well as yourself. Examines the strugles of a 13 yr old and desires to be like others, or not. Would recomend to my grandchildren to read, if they had not already done so. Have currage and read this series.
Thirteen-year-old "Tick" Higginbottom begins receiving mysterious letters full of clues that hint at an upcoming disaster that could wipe out the human race. He is being asked to help stop this disaster. The clues are being sent from all over the world signed only by ‘MG’. Tick, picked on at school decides that this is his chance to make a difference. He chooses to do his part to help save the world… little does he know however that by making the choice to help, he is putting himself and his family in grave danger! He is attacked by robotic gnats and encounters ‘tingles’ – ghost-like forms that make a high-pitched shriek that can drive you insane… not to mention his confrontation with the evil Mistress Jane! This is a great read for boys (girls, too!). Full of action and clues to decipher! Two more books are available in this series.
