Zack Jennings has the ability to see and talk with ghosts. Along with his stepmother, Judy Magruder Jennings, they travel to the Hanging Hill Playhouse, a very ghostly and eerie place in Connecticut. A famous director by the name Reginald Grimes is planning to put on a play based on one of Judy’s books. Zack has a menacing plot afoot that entails the release of demons into the world which opposes a threat to the two stars of the play, Meghan and Derek. This was a very action-packed novel and it was most definitely a worthwhile mystery. I love how Grabenstein integrated a mixture of thriller, supernatural, and suspenseful aspects to make the story more captivating.
