Born Margarita Carmen Cansino (1918) - (actress/dancer) Rita Hayworth (originally from Brooklyn, NY) was, without question, one of Hollywood's top female stars of the 1940s.

During WW2 - The glamourous Hayworth (who had earned the nickname - "The Love Goddess") was the #1 choice for pin-up girl amongst American GIs fighting overseas.

Between 1937-1961 - Rita Hayworth had been married and divorced 5 times.

This glossy pictorial-biography of Hayworth's active life includes over 300 stills (some rarely seen of her in her years before she was catapulted into Tinseltown mega-stardom).

*Note* - In 1987 - Rita Hayworth (68 at the time) died from serious complications brought on by Alzheimer's disease which she had been diagnosed with since 1980.
