Devine! This was my first adventure with the author and I was impressed. She writes plainly, letting her plot do the heavy lifting, and in so doing she achieves an elegance that is increasingly rare. I gobbled it. Her characters and their dilemmas kept me up late, kept me awake, kept me smiling. What else does one ask of an author?
