Add a CommentSilly and funny, appreciating the relationships between the generations - this was a nice diversion of a film. Grandma had a lot going on and she didn't always explain herself or her choices - but why should she? A very rare lead role for an elder woman. I was worried the "gangster" theme might be too graphically violent, as that seems to be a trend in so called comedies - but it was not. Also interesting blend of languages in dialogue with legible subtitles as needed. Filmed on location in NYC Chinatown - so if you're familiar enough with the neighborhood, it's fun to play "did you see that?!"
Closed caption. Overrated, gang violence. Winnings at the casino exaggerated.
A cranky Chinese grandmother comes into some questionable good luck... what will she do? I loved this movie; it was funny, charming and a fun visit to Chinatown in New York.
