Comment
Add a CommentBad Education has been rated 'Restricted' by Consumer Protection BC. While maintaining surveillance of funeral services, home inspections and the like, they seem to have the time and, apparently in their own estimation, the ability to rate movies. The obsequious town library staff here (we're not even talking BC but ON), pandering to the censors, has duly attached a fluorescent green sticker to the DVD package. Pathetic. If anyone on the payroll took the time to view this 'true story' movie, they'd see how totally innocuous it is. It's about cooking the books at a school district. Since when has accounting been deemed pornographic? As for the movie itself, well, crumbs on the table from society's menu of rip-offs. The Federal Reserve prints up trillions out of thin air and funnels it to Wall Street. What would you call that? Fraud. Vote-grubbing Congressmen/women produce two thousand page legislative bills to bury billion dollar pork barrel projects that leverage their re-election. What would you call that? Embezzlement of tax-payer funds. The military/industrial complex ceaselessly foists insanely overpriced boondoggles on John and Jane Q Citizen. What would you call that? Racketeering. This viewer waiting for the 'true story' Bad Government movie. Probably rated X.
2* Just couldn't get into this movie. Boring.
Based on a real life story about embezzlement from a school. Hugh Jackman does a great job breathing life into this character.
It would be of TV Movie quality, but was at least
with no commercials. Good acting by hugh jackman
though.
Wow! And this actually happened! It really makes you wonder who you're sending your kids off to when they leave for school. Thank God I don't have to worry about things like that. I've got enough problems on my own.
This a good movie, it shows how corruption is everywhere, and its sad how everyone goes out of their way to cover it.
More movies should be made like this.
Everything I hate about American education. But that's the content. The movie is great acting (and makeup), and even a few decent things about education.
Disqusting
This was very much a TV movie. No outstanding qualities to be discerned.
Warning! This movie is not good. Would've been a much better documentary.
