Filled with sex and violence--in and out of time and space--the three books of The Illuminatus are only partly works of the imagination. They tackle all the coverups of our time--from who really shot the Kennedys to why there's a pyramid on a one-dollar bill.

Possibly the highlight of absurdist anarchist conspiracy fiction, the book reads as prophecy after 2016. If you have a low tolerance for nonsense, I can't recommend the book. But, if you want to take a bite of the golden apple, dive in.

I wanted to like this. I like Robert Anton Wilson's other stuff, but no. This is written like a deliberate drug trip, and after a while the trick becomes tiresome and I just stopped wanting to read it, stopped enjoying it, stopped being willing to waste my time on it.
