I read this for the "Written By A Female Author" part of my 2020 reading challenge. It was my first time reading it, and I thought it was perfect. It's soft and gentle and rhymed and it would be easy to read at bedtime and I can see children loving it. No wonder it's a classic.

I never had much of a chance to read goodnight moon when i was younger, and if i did i couldn't remember it, but this book made my heart feel warm and brought me to feel as if i was a little girl again. I loved having the little book in my arms, and still very much enjoyed the simple read. It is like childhood wrapped in a book.

A total classic.

I've never met a kid who didn't like this book. I read this during Family Storytime and even the most rambunctious toddlers stopped their fidgeting long enough to listen all the way through. The board book version of this classic makes a great baby shower gift.

Transition from day time to bedtime with this hypnotic story.

My toddler loved it! He liked to look at the details in the pictures, and finding little mouse throughout the book :)

Simple illustrations, lots of repetition, and a rich vocabulary. It's calming and comforting... the perfect bedtime read!
