This is an entertaining and engaging epic fantasy series. I enjoyed the original spin put on many of the typical marks for high fantasy. The writing improves from the first book to the last. I find the first book somewhat comparable to Brandon Sanderson's Elantris due to some of the world-building and language, the way the society works. As I read further into the series, I found myself also comparing it to Scott Lynch.
The plot is fun and the characters amusing enough to counter the graceless early writing, and I look forward to experiencing more of Sullivan's work in the future.

Overall awesome. I was a bit bogged down in book 5 with all the politics and maneuvering, but I feel the ending to book 5 makes up for it! Modina be crazy awesome! Book 6 on the other hand, I couldn't put down. And now I find myself seriously thinking about rereading Age of Myth before Age of Swords comes out. Wow. An excellent fantasy series!

Truly an epic and wondrous ending to an unforgettably brilliant series.

This was my favorite of the series. I guarantee one would not be disappointed. I will surely come back to read this series happily. The ending is everything I could have hoped for. It was filled with intensity and fascinating surroundings. The city Percepliquis was beyond awesome. A perfect setting for the characters to traverse. It sort of reminded me of the vast underground world from Skyrim. I was simply amazed at all the treasure and knowledge the group came across, but...they were being chased. I was just like "no! All that treasure long lost now found again and they may not be able to marvel at it's full glory." Very gripping story.

Lots of surprises in this one.

I was happy a little more romance was added this time around and it was done very well. Again, as with the other titles in the series, I was wanting 'more'. I feel like more emphasis on the love plots in this series is what keeps it from being an all time masterpiece and what may keep it from becoming a T.V. or movie series in the future. Though Not that I was wanting a T.V. or movie series from this.... There's so much room for more elaboration on love in this series too.

Thank you Mr. Sullivan for such a great book series!
