Dan and Jon are two fathers whose very different lives collide when Dan's teenage son tragically dies under the care of trauma consultant Jon in a Central London hospital. Devastated and heartbroken, Dan, a working class father struggling to make ends meet, believes Jon is responsible for his son's death and, as he strives for justice, Dan begins to unpick the fabric of Jon's distinctly contrasting life as a high-achieving surgeon with a beautiful home and family.

Started well, but deteriorated into very unlikely situations. Good acting.

No words to say. Heart touching. A must see.

Overly long show with Simm blaming trauma surgeon Adrian Lester for his son's death. There are some twists and turns, but the plot moves into sketchy territory as SImm devolves into maniacal status driven by grief. Ah.., but sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction!

Ignore the first review. "Trauma" could very easily have been renamed "Fixation." Though the two male leads put in good performances the other characters merely provide support (with the exception of the daughter whose most noticeable attributes were at times something of a distraction for this viewer!) We are asked to believe things in this movie that simply don't fly. First off, if I had a child who was murdered my fixation (if I have one) would more likely be focused on the killer or killers (or possibly the police if applicable). I don't buy the notion that a supposed ordinary bloke can be so in tune with the various minute details in language, whether it be oral or physical, of a seasoned professional, as to almost immediately sniff out a rat. The professional in this instance is a well-mannered, sympathetic surgeon whose tolerance is stretched to the limit (and eventually breaking point). In concluding I suppose "Trauma" is like most other series meant for TV, all is in the eyes of the beholder. PS - The DVD box shows programme length to be 180 minutes. "Trauma" is three parts each of 45 minutes. Not sure how we get three hours out of that!

Not sure what the previous review was about.
This miniseries is about a father wanting to blame the death of his son on the surgeon who tries to save him & what ensues from there.
Tense & believable.

This dramatic/thriller film is about four friends going to Chile and randomly getting attacked by a man and his son. They decide to confront the two, until they realize that they are something more than just human and have evil coursing through their veins. As far as horror movies go, this is definitely not one of the worst ones that I have seen and actually has a somewhat decent/believable plot. Yes, it fell victim to some cliche moves such as jump scares and predictable sound effects, but the overall film wasn’t too bad. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars and recommend it to those who typically enjoy horror films. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
