The approach to make the film low-budget by attempting to finishing the episodes in 13 with only 3 takes per scene in a human only camera made it seem to be in 2 dimensions. The episodes where the nuclear power plant melts down with glow in the dark zombies was interesting. When Doc tried to get a zombie stoned, who could not laugh.

The episode where they came upon a bio-medical weapons lab with human experiments still in place was realistic. I experienced what it might feel like to rescue the bio-weapons experiment at the lab near Dachau before the take over by the Russians. The book, Operation PaperclipOperation Paperclip, Book-"The Secret Intelligence Program That Brought Nazi Scientists to America", by Jacobsen, Annie, last chapter goes into detail about that and the audio version is all good. It is a chapter within itself, because it is the beginning of a new era of research exploiting humans to develop weapons. It explains why that episode is so meaningful to me in very many ways.

When the Walking Dead fans need something else to watch just turn to Z Nation. The playful series that makes zombies so much fun to hate. The B rated series is a funny take on the end of the world. It could be your new favorite.
