Stunning photographs, great information.
A visual masterpiece.

This book is just beautiful. The photographs of the birds are gorgeous and stunning. This book is a lovely way to introduce children to the wonder and beauty of nature, as the story follows a group of birds as they migrate. The story is simple enough to be read aloud, and the wondrous, vibrant colourful close-up photos of the birds are completely captivating.

An incredibly stunning photographic picture book on the migration of the warbler! Vibrant, accessible non-fiction for preschool and kindergarten aged children.

I love that April Pulley Sayre also provides educators and older readers with additional back matter (migration patterns, hot spots, food sources, etc.) on the tiny songbirds.

Another powerful non-fiction picture book by April Pulley Sayre. There is no "point and name syndrome" here (the numerous warblers aren't identified), just the beauty and wonder of these lovely birds. And while environmental issues (like turbines and towers, the need for food sources and safe habitats) are there if you want to explore them, the simple text avoids any heavy-handed messaging that might take away from the inspiring story of migration.
