I found this movie to be a great backstory to the wonderful books about Winnie the Pooh. It was very enjoyable to visit Ashdown Forest and see some of the inspiration behind the book -- although there is lots of sadness here too. And, in 2018, this is another good way to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WWl.

Not a warm and fuzzy tale of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin. Quite the opposite. Well acted but know you are going to watch a drama - a bio pic that tells the back side story of A.A. Milne and how the Winnie the Pooh legend came to be.

I thought this movie was very good, but I'm kind of sorry I watched it. It was about the story behind the creation of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories and about the relationship between the author A.A. Milne and his son, the real life inspiration for Christopher Robin. It was a very engrossing and thoughtful film, but deeply sad. I love the lightness and joy found in the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, which are so completely charming, but while this movie is very good, there is very little lightness and joy here and I found it kind of heartbreaking overall.

It was a beautiful story about the creation of Winnie the Pooh. I watched it four times and couldn't get enough. This one I will own. Loved it! Ten stars

A very good movie, albeit quite sad. I did do a quick check on the internet and discovered that, fortunately, a number of the very sad things in the movie weren't actually true and a number of others were speculation. But a very interesting tale, none-the-less.
If you like thought-provoking stories about human nature you will enjoy this.

This is explores the relationship between author A. A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin who inspired Winnie the Pooh as well as the cost the stories' success had on the entire family.

Slow, sweet in places sad in others. Mostly it made me hate parents.

Interesting, slow moving, often sad, but touching story about the family and childhood that inspired the Winnie the Pooh books.
