Other than the rather dorky 80's music, pretty much well done overall. It is in a rather specific genre, so if that isn't your cup of tea, you'd likely think otherwise. I think Jean-Claude has three movies that have pretty much exactly the same basis. All are somewhat different and in their own way unique.

For a long time I thought I'd seen this, but it turned out it'd seen "Bloodsport." I'm still not convinced they're different films. So Jean-Claude Van Damme ("The Muscles from Brussels") and his brother journey to Thailand to kickbox. His brother is crippled by a brutal Thai fighter and Van Damme vows revenge! He enlists an older man to teach him the ways of the kickboxer. I smell a training montage. Needless to say, lots of people get kicked in the face. And there's a gloriously corny 80s score, including inspirational fighting songs. The acting is virtually non-existent, but there's a lot of kicking and a good use of the Thai setting. Also, Van Damme dances! A vintage slice of 80s action cheese.
