Think this was the last Connery Bond film. I couldn't get through Diamonds Are Forever - thought this one was better. Bond goes to Nassau, Bahamas to locate some stolen nuclear weapons. Has plenty of underwater adventures. My only complaint was that the theme song for this movie had a male vocalist--not the same! James needs a sexy female vocal--needless to say!

I've watched the film a few times, always found it a tad lengthy. Not a top-ranked Bond movie on my list (Dr. No, From Russia with love, Casino Royale) but also not a Sean Connery number worth missing.

Sean Connery is the best James Bond. He is the only sane Bond who is believable as a licensed killer who would not think twice about killing anyone, if necessary, to complete his mission.

"Thunderball" has everything that a viewer would expect in a James Bond film: a big budget, escapist fantasy, lavish spending and glamour. Consequently, "Thunderball" is the best James Bond film. IMHO, I would rate "Thunderball" (released in 1965) at 5.0 stars.

SPECTRE is plotting to steal 2 nuclear warheads to extort $ from western governments. Bond is employed to foil their scheme while seducing a few women along the way - all in the interests of King & country as he puts it.

Another adventure featuring James Bond, spydom's favourite psychopathic horndog. This time he’s shooting and screwing his way through the Bahamas in an effort to locate a pair of armed nuclear missiles that have gone astray. The action is appropriately cartoonish and Sean Connery is certainly very easy on the eyes but I'm afraid I just can't suspend my disbelief long enough to really enjoy these films and instead find myself wishing S.P.E.C.T.R.E. would succeed just once. Who needs Miami anyway?

I may be biased on the rating: this was the first Bond film I ever saw. The franchise elements are pretty much all in place by this point, including the circle introducing the opening mini-drama, and the aquatic aspects.
