This came closer to the Spiderman comics I read decades ago. I would love to see this kid do the origin story - being a nerdy, fumbling geek who gets bit and has to figure out what to do with his shocking powers... tries out pro wrestling only to let Uncle Ben die... takes up photography and selling images to J. Jonah Jameson (have to give him online presence these days along with failing newspaper) to help Aunt May out.

Aunt May being so young kinda tripped me out. Still, it was funny seeing Stark flirt with her.

This is an amazing movie! I think Tom Holland did a great job acting! If you like this movie you will also like: Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther!

Boo-boo- and more boo! Don't waste ur time - this is nothing close to the success of the past sequels: the Goblin surfer, Sand man, Dr. Octo., and the Lizard creature versions were all really great!! ; don't know what happened this time? Also, too many dark, night time scenes made it too hard to see what was happening - so what's the point of watching something u can't see or decipher clearly??? It's v.frustrating similarly to the last, Godzilla flick. I GUESS THIS SPIDER JUST DID NOT HIT HOME! Ha, ha.... Lol .

Not wild about arrogant & self-centered Tony Stark mentoring a child. I always think of Michael Keaton as Batman. How can he be the bad guy? Peter seems to have problems without the new suit Stark made him, which makes no sense to me. He had his spider abilities working fine before he hooked up with Stark. Disappointing movie for me.

A youthful perspective.

I think it was pretty humorous with an interesting plot, but rather rushed. The cast was pretty good, but I still prefer the original Spider-man movies starring Tobey Maguire. 4 stars overall.

Peter Parker: So, to become an Avenger, are there like trials or an interview?

Tony Stark: You just don't do anything I would do... and definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little gray area in there and that's where you operate.

[reaches over Peter]

Peter Parker: [puts arm around Tony] Oh.

Tony Stark: That's not a hug. I'm just grabbing the door for you.

Many quotes in IMDb including this:
How do you think your buddy Stark paid for that tower, or any of his little toys? Those people, Pete, those people up there, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us, like you and me... they don't care about us. We build their roads and we fight all their wars and everything. They don't care about us. We have to pick up after them. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is. I know you know what I'm talking about, Peter.
