Based on a 13th century European legend about a beautiful maiden, a stalwart knight and a pickpocket. The knight and the lady were once lovers, but the curse of the jealous Bishop of Aquila has fated them to be "always together, eternally apart". By day, she is a hawk; by night he is a wolf.

I watched this movie because I listened to the audio book of Ready Player One. It's an 80's film so music, cast, and locations were all pretty good and entertaining. I though the movie was a little long (like most 80's movies). Overall, not one of my favorites. I hate being an adult and over-analyzing everything I watch. I never saw this as a kid so I don't have an attachment.

I saw this as a kid in the 80s, so despite its shortcomings (namely Alan Parsons's cheestastic score), I have a soft spot for it. Good cast, nice locations and some cool fights. Would make a good film series with other 80s fantasy movies: "Willow," "The Dark Crystal," "Labyrinth," "The Black Cauldron," "Legend," "Dragonslayer," "The Last Unicorn." Originally it was going to be called "Lordwolf."

Beautiful. Gorgeous movie from the (80s?). The music's a little cheesy, perhaps to some...but I dont mind it. It's a classic. It is not tedious or dull at all, as someone has said here (in my opinion). The ending is incredibly epic and satisfying. What someone may call 'tedious' is probably actually the character development that takes place, which I thoroughly enjoy.

A friend introduced me to this movie in college and I really loved it. It reminded me of medival tales such as Bisclavret (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisclavret).

This movie has not aged well. The synthesizer music is definitely 80s and the script wasn't all that captivating.

I love this movie! A Knight turns into a wolf at sundown and a Lady turns into a hawk at sunrise. Man and animal travel with a medieval young man with a sense of humour in their quest to be together as a couple.
