I never do this, but I would really like to point something out about real_thing's "review" from 11-3-15. Yes, people are dying violent deaths and yes, our country is terribly corrupt. And there ARE movies about the topics you've listed in the ClevNet system. But why does that mean that we shouldn't focus on the good things that people do as well? To make a movie about the kindness of a community (or a country) isn't to say that tragic things don't happen. It's meant to be an inspiration to people that have maybe lost hope in humanity or feel that crime is focused on TOO heavily in the media. It's good to acknowledge what is corrupt, it's good to care about it, and it's good to want to fix it, but that absolutely does NOT mean that we can't be happy ourselves and pursue things that make us smile, even if only for 88 minutes. So what if a fictional character is what brings this little boy happiness? It means that he has a healthy imagination (which many adults lose, leaving them jaded in the face of hardship) and he has hope.

That being said, I found this film to be incredibly heartwarming and I'm so happy that organizations like Make-A-Wish exist to make something like this possible. It also illuminates certain situations where social media and being "connected" in the age of technology can be a wonderful thing. All of these generous people were brought together with internet technology that is so often criticized by individuals hung up on what is wrong with the world. There will always be good with bad and vice versa, it's just up to us to decide what we want to focus on and how we want to react.
