Deep in the Ghalk, something is stirring. The owls and the foxes can sense it, and Tiffany Aching feels it in her boots. An old enemy is gathering strength. This is a time of endings and beginnings, old friends and new, a blurring of edges and a shifting of power. Now Tiffany stands between the light and the dark, the good and the bad. As the fairy horde prepares for invasions, Tiffany must summon all the witches to stand with her. To protect the land. Her land.

First tried reading the book, but I really like the narrator so much, I waited until the audio version was available--and it was SO worth it. Tiffany's busier than normal in this last book of Pratchett's, what with a boy wanting to become a witch, Granny Weatherwax's departure and steading needing a keeper, overworked on the Chalk, and elves trying to take over the human world. Of course, with Feegals, other witches, a cat named 'You', and even some village men, Tiffany can't lose.

A wonderful final installation in Tiffany's story. I highly recommend the entire set about Tiffany and the Wee Free Men.

This really felt like Sir Terry's farewell piece. A bittersweet work for any Discworld fan.
