Although Mike's Place falls in the line of 'based on the true story", it's deep meaning behind the book itself is worth checking.

This non-fiction graphic novel follows the filming of a documentary about Mike’s Place, a bar & live music venue in Tel Aviv. Told from the perspective of the director, Jack Baxter, the crew of the film, and the employees of the restaurant, this graphic novel deals with intense political issues and emotional trauma. What begins as a documentary about the bar becomes something much deeper after Mike’s Place is the target of a suicide bombing.

Poignant & stimulating, this graphic novel gives the reader a personal touch on a complicated topic & adds a hopeful narration to a dark event.
