Though the overt premise is a sci-fi, this book is an insightful, deep investigation of what it is like to be closeted and dealing with mental health issues in a conservative community. Well written and clever, this book is a must read for the current times.

So your father is the president of the United States and he's battling an Artificial Intelligence terrorist by enforcing conservative values and it just so happens that you are in the closet. Now a new transfer student has made you weak in the knees and you have to sneak pass your security detail just to meet up but there is also something going seriously wrong with the robots you make to relax.

This debut novel has a few implausible moments but overall is a fun read.
