I was a little apprehensive about his book, as Winger was such a great story that I didn't know if it needed a sequel. But Stand Off delivers another heartfelt, well written story about moving on and growing up.

Andrew Smith's character, Ryan Dean, is just as adorable and lovable as he is pervy and stubborn. Now a 15 year old senior at his private school, he deals with being roomed with a 12 year old freshman, furthering his relationship with his girlfriend Annie, and being on the lookout for NATE (the Next Accidental Terrible Experience). You can't read this without reading WINGER, but don't worry - it's just as engaging!
