Because We Say So presents more than thirty short, forceful commentaries written between 2011 and 2015 covering the most urgent matters in U.S. politics during global crisis. With uncompromising clarity, Chomsky takes on a range of hot-button issues from climate change, nuclear politics, and spying/cyberwar, to the Middle East and the future of democracy. Brilliant, accessible, timely, gloves-off political writing.

This book is a collection of essays, written between 2011 and 2014, commenting on the foreign and climate policy of the United States and its client, Israel. Chomsky, always extremely critical of US foreign policy, gives us the behind-the-scenes information that is seldom found in the traditional press. He examines various world crises, especially in the Middle East and Latin America, and looks at how problems are caused and exacerbated by US intervention.

If even half of the information in this book is true, the world is a frightening place!

A must-read book for anyone who cares about what is happening in the world.
