"Bo is a gorgeous renegade. An irresistible beauty. And a deadly succubus. For years, she had no idea what she was or why every new lover died in the throes of passion. She fled one corpse after another until a chance encounter with the puckish thief Kenzi exposed Bo's existence to the Fae. This ancient society of supernatural beings exists outside the realm of mere mortals. Within their world, there are only two sides: Light and Dark. Each member of the Fae must choose who they will serve. But not Bo. Driven to discover who she really is, Bo vows to live on her own terms even if it means existing in the abyss between darkness and light. With the help of the mischievous, but loyal, Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson, and the beautiful human scientist Lauren, Bo will use her powers of seduction to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past"--Container insert.

The characters really make this show. Kenzi adds a wonderful sense of humor to the show. I also love Dyson, a werewolf cop who has amazing chemistry with Bo. Trick is the barkeep who is a mentor to Bo and has a powerful secret of his own. Sometimes I felt the show was cheesy and I didn't always approve of the plot or Bo's decisions, but the characters kept me coming back for more. I love that they explore the world of the fae and it has an interesting take on it. Since Bo was raised with humans she must learn about this world and discover herself and her own destiny.

Nice cleavage was not enough to compensate for weak stories in an uninspired fantasy world.
(...and the touted tease of an powerful woman sexual predator was a yawn.)
I waded through the first three episodes believing that it would have to get better,.. but it didn't.
Teen girls might enjoy the leads' romance.

I saw this on tv and got quite tired of the seemingly obligatory sex sceen each episode. The story line is interesting and the relationship between Bo and Dyson is facinating (tho I think it will end in tears). The Bo/Kenzi relationship is a mild twist in the usual expectation.

A really good science-fiction tv show. If you like sci-fi this is a good one

Season Two is even better. the writers found their rhythm. snappy dialogue. interesting characters, good blending of shadow selves. lead character never gets dopey as many female leads end up doing. she's tough throughout but promotes good over evil.

Season one of Lost Girl follows the life of a succubus named Bo who is learning what she is as well as learning how to control her supernatural powers. Bo lives and works with a human named Kenzi as they help others in trouble or need and coordinate their activities with the police. Both Bo and Kenzi are introduced into the world of Fae who are supernatural beings aligned with either the Light or Dark Fae. Bo tries to walk a fine line by staying neutral. Throughout season one Bo learns more about the Fae world and searches for information about her origins. Bo develops a love relationship with a Fae police detective named Dyson and a work and friendship relationship with a human doctor in servitude to the Light Fae.
