Considered by many to be the most beautiful woman of her generation, Sharon Tate remains a fascinating pop icon and a poster child for the 1960s. The few films she made during her brief career have secured her position as a Hollywood legend. Over forty years since her last film, Sharon's spirit and charisma lives strong in the memories of those who knew her best. Her sister Debra celebrates Sharon's life and career, her influence as a fashion icon throughout the world, and in effect presents a sociological portrait of the 1960s-- its youth culture, the sexual revolution, the rise of independent cinema, and Hollywood's changing studio system.

This is a beautiful picture book. it is not a biography! One interesting tidbit about Sharon Tate revealed in the book is that she beat out Candace Bergen and Raquel Welch for the movie Valley of the Dolls! Wow!

45 years after the tragic and vicious murder of aspiring, young actress, Sharon Tate (at the hands of the deranged Manson Family) - Debra Tate (Sharon's sister) has carefully compiled this impressive book, which is her tribute to the fond memory of her older sister.

Sharon Tate (born 1943) is considered by many to be one of the most radiant and alluringly beautiful women of her generation. (And, it's so easy to see why)

Debra's "Recollection" is a literal treasure trove of often-rare photos that showcase Sharon's life from childhood, to fashion model, to movie actress.

Included in this book, as well, are numerous comments from the many people who encountered Sharon during her living years.

I suspect Charles Manson was CIA. In the book, "Helter Skelter", the L.A. Police say that Charlie's followers replied, "Charlie flew it up there," when asked how they got a school bus up to their commune outside L.A....because the cops simply could NOT figure out how they got the bus up there! So, if you think about it, the bus HAD TO get up there somehow...but HOW!? There's only one explanation: CIA no doubt has access to twin-rotor, heavy lift helicopters...and the sudden appearance of the school bus up at the commune with Charlie's claim that Satan flew the bus up there when Charlie asked him to...that would've really impressed his followers...and that's probably exactly what it was intended to do! Charlie was CIA.

They say that "Beauty is only skin deep." - But (in the case of actress/model, Sharon Tate) her kind of beauty (as a real person) went much deeper than that.

Through dozens of never-before-seen photos (plus numerous recollections and quotes from the many celebrities who had met Sharon during her short (but sweet) life - This first-rate book (compiled by Sharon's sister, Debra) pays respectful and loving tribute to a young woman whose potentially promising career was erased forever long before it ever had a chance to fully blossom.

For anyone who's at all interested in knowing about who Sharon Tate really was, I certainly do recommend this book, highly.

*Note* - "Recollection" is not at all about recapping the tragic, sad, and hideous murder of Sharon Tate (at the age of 26) by the crazed members of the Manson Family. No. This book (published 45 years after Sharon's death) is all about Sharon's love of life, the people who she touched, and her desire to live her life to the fullest.

See for yourself. Watch video.
