I was expecting this to be either enjoyable or really dopey. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. The characters are really well developed- they feel real. The emotions and responses to the given situation are appropriate and realistic, which prevents this book from being too corny. I just really hope there's going to be a sequel because Detweiler definitely left room for one!

This young adult book has many themes. One theme is about faith and believing in miracles. Another theme revolves around our society's obsession with knowing everything about everyone and the ostracizing of anyone who is different. The main character, Mina, claims to be pregnant but swears that she never had sex. In the nine months of her pregnancy many will come to show their faith and trust in her. It's a very interesting read, and I think that people who liked Joan of Arcadia will enjoy this book.
