Former vice president Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz Cheney, former deputy assistant secretary of state, explain the unique and indispensable nature of American power, reveal the damage done by President Obama's abandonment of this principle, and show how America can and must lead again. Since World War II, American power and leadership have been an unmatched force for the defense of freedom around the globe. For 70 years, presidents both Republican and Democratic have shared a dedication to maintaining American power and leadership. President Obama has abandoned this bipartisan tradition, choosing instead to "lead from behind" as he abandons America's allies, appeases our enemies, and apologizes for this great nation. When the former vice president spoke out on the topic last year, the Wall Street Journal declared, "Dick Cheney is still right," and the Washington Post lauded his comments, adding that "unless we have a president who understands that proactive, early action and a robust military force are essential to national security, we will forever be racing to catch up to our enemies." Now the former vice president and his daughter, former deputy assistant secretary of state Liz Cheney, team up to explain how President Obama has drastically broken with the bipartisan foreign policy consensus that enabled America to prevail in World War II, to win the Cold War, and to triumph in the first decade of the War on Terror. The Cheneys reveal the damage done by President Obama's policies and demonstrate how his unwillingness to defend and protect American power has weakened the nation and diminished the ability of future presidents to defend us. Finally, the Cheneys do what no one before them has done: chart a path forward to restoring American power and strength, explaining what must be done to reverse course, to fight and win the war on terror, to rebuild our military and reassure our allies that they can once again rely on American leadership.

Superb history lesson on the last 70 years of American military action over seas and the POTUS/WH administrative decision making that coordinated those efforts. The Cheney's then bring it full circle by comparing those historical results with how our current administration is dealing with war and foreign policy. I think they do so quite fairly. Well worth the read.

G.W.Bush's Vice President and honorable adviser Richard Cheney and his daughter have written another great and patriotic book to buoy the spirits of individualist and capitalist Americans who most the world yearns to become, even as lesser and/or incapable peoples wish to destroy.
Paraphrasing Franklin: "We have given you a republic. Can you keep it?"
We must overcome the regressive "Progressive" critical challanges to our existence, again.

We must overcome, again, the challenges of those in need of strength and confidence.
Socialists and/or Totalitarians must never be allowed to attain any positions of any significant power - ever, again.

Thank you, V.P. Cheney for your outstanding service and example.
Read also: Pulitzer winner Judy Miller's "The STORY" for singularly authoritative insight and support of the Bush Administration's/Coalition's original Iraq strategy. Other's details and facts also support the Administrations actions.
Consider the above opposed to Obama's treachery and disgust for the origins and foundations of the U.S.

How fortunate we are that rich dude Dick Cheney took time off from his busy duck hunting schedule, while residing on his estate in St. Michael's, Maryland, which adjoins the estate of Donald Rumsfeld, both overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, to write this? Should anyone forget, the magnanimous Cheney gave all his stock options to charity, i.e., those hospitals which took care of him through all those many heart attacks that physically inferior dude had, but somehow, miraculously, became worth $100 million just after 9/11/01, as did BFF, Rumsfeld?
Recommend people read Touching History, by Lynn Spencer, to recall what happened on 9/11/01.
[Does everyone forget all those most peculiar deaths and // suicides \\ which occurred during the Bush administration? Recommend the curious to Google: "pentagon" "Lavena Johnson" "Michael Dominguez" ]
