Hoh, lee, cow this movie is a masterpiece, from the performances to the dialogue to the exceptionally well-timed transitional edits. I loved how the Italian cultural elements & countryside were incorporated into the action, too, & I never got tired of watching the actors fall in love. Without the supernatural (ultranatural?) element it would still be a brilliant romance, & without the leading man hanging tough through it all it would still be a brilliant creature horror flick, but the twists & textures prove once again why Benson & Moorhead are some of the most badazz directors working. Five stars riding out the volcano...! CR

After watching "The Endless"---I was interested to watch these two indie directors's work again.
I had never heard of "Spring"...but it was worth a watch and quite entertaining.

Nothing lost not watching this movie.Makes most college age men look like the assholes they are.A bunch of drunk, stoned frat boys hatched this horrible movie.Alternative ending even worse.Recommend zero people watch this movie.

Saw this awhile ago and comment lost. However, the story is still fairly vivid in my mind - one weird supernatural "Before Sunrise (1995)" - a mythical romance encounter in modern days. The weirdness of the whole thing (Spoiler Alert):

Oxytocin. ... It's the hormone that makes women fall in love and get maternal. And if it were high enough, survival reaction blocks the embryonic cells and defaults into my adult stem cells.

A strange and dramatically inert low budget movie that would be like taking Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise and then turning it into an X Files episode. A young aimless American guy goes to Italy to jump start his life and he meets cute with a foreign girl who's issues go well beyond complicated. The movie is quite slow and talky with pedestrian dialogue and lead actors who are just kind of average in their roles. You will not confuse them with Ethan Hawke or Julie Delpy.

Funny, creepy, strangely sad and romantic original horror. Along the lines of It Follows and Afterbirth. I found it good enough to watch again and it's just as good the second time around. When you finish the movie check out the special features, Angelo The Farmer will have you bursting at the seams!😂

Although this film has been marketed as body horror, it really isn't. Sure, there are a few WTF moments (the one towards the end is even quite funny) but this is a very simple boy-meets-girl story - with a twist. The best thing about films like this is that the casts are virtual unknowns, so the "Hollywood Movie Star" syndrome is non-existent. Recommended for folks looking for something different.

According to some people, this is only a movie for young adults and anyone over 30 should avoid it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why you never listen to amateur critics. At a tender 43 years old, Spring is one of my favorite films of 2016, and possibly my favorite since Ex-Machina. I'm pretty certain most negative reviewers were expecting a typical CGI bloodbath and non-stop action. If that's what you're seeking, you will undoubtedly be disappointed. With a 90% fresh rating on RT, I'm glad to see film fans and real critics actually saw what I saw. It's a fresh step off the typical fodder in this genre and possibly the best anti-love story since Warm Bodies. The idea that certain movies are for certain ago-groups just tells me that certain people are just too old.

Original but not quite in the horror genre as the cover might depict. Has some dark maybe even disgusting moments but... Has a vacationers dream locale - you know Louise is the focal point – what is she? Throw in some history, legend, junk science and a bit of philosophy. Loved the ending

But there are still lots of mysteries out there. Even I'm a mystery to myself.
-I wish I could say I wasn't just a simpleminded dude. I understand about half of myself.
Then you're half magic.
- Mmm. I'm half undiscovered science, bunch of confusing biochemistry,
and some crazy hormones.

If this was the 1700s, you would think I'm too skinny. You may not believe this, but most men are not attracted to women who look like preteen boys.
-Mm, some are.
That's true, but most men just want a girl who's healthy. Obesity and anorexia, they're equally unattractive.

Tell me more about the finite.
-let's see, uh... when you're sick, it makes you feel lucky for all the times when you were healthy. Uh, sunrises and sunsets... some things are just beautiful no matter what and a constant reminder that you only get so many. So you better fxcking enjoy 'em. Some pizza and a bottle of wine with the right person that can make the shittiest day better. Coffee dates take up a pretty good chunk of your time, but... but they're worth it. I don't know, you can choose to work yourself to death, but you could also throw all that work away without regrets for the right person. Maybe that's chemical, but it's also magic. Uh, love comes around a couple times, if you're lucky.
