The book sinks underneath past storylines that don't add much wait. I liked You but this follow up is a little messy and rushes towards a conclusion I'm not really happy with.

I think I liked YOU more but this wasn't bad by any means. Still worth reading!

Even though I did not care for the novel, "You" (the first in this book series) I attempted to give the author a second chance. Big mistake. About 200 pages too long, the story tells of 'sociopath' Joe Goldberg who believes that (after murdering his girlfriend and virtually everyone around her) he has found the one. After she breaks his heart and leaves town, he decides to hunt her down and exact revenge the only way a sociopath knows how. By eliminating her. During his hunt, he meets a woman that turns out to be his ACTUAL soulmate. The 'thriller' then turns into a 'romance' as he invests all of himself to make the relationship work. The original plan to find his ex-girlfriend and murder her begins to unravel. The author takes the reader on a long and unnecessary detour from the original plot. Does the protagonist eventually find his ex-girlfriend? Read (if you care to) and find out.

Kepnes does the neat trick of telling the story from the point of view of a sociopathic obsessive - and is so good you almost root for the guy. Joe Goldberg heads to LA in search of an ex-girlfriend who ripped him off, and in the process, fits right into Hollywood's narcissistic writers' scene, and finds true love. Maybe. This isn't for everyone, but if you like your plots twisty and the writing sparkling, this one's a treat.

In this follow up to You, bookstore manager/serial killer Joe Goldberg is still mourning the loss of his girlfriend Beck, and is devastated when his new love takes off for L.A. without him. Determined to find (and punish) her, Joe heads west...where, despite his disdain for Hollywood mores, he fits right in. And then he meets, and falls in love with, a beautiful heiress named Love. Will this relationship flourish? Or will Joe's past catch up with him? With a charming (if murderous) protagonist, both You and Hidden Bodies will have you in the distinctly odd position of empathizing with a serial killer.

Sex is Not Love is a concept taught to people to understand that sex cannot create love, since sex is mistaken for love! It has changed into a movement.
