A wonderful book to help identify a wide variety of birds and their individual behaviours. Easy to read layout with a great description/guide at the back of the book.

We absolutely love this book!! It is such a great rhyme and repetition book for bedtime, plus it is about birds and children growing up. Other than the fact that it's a great book, I think my daughter (20 months) especially loves it because I hug/squeeze her on the "you" and "me" of every "you nest here with me" verse. Extra special because her grandparents and the author's relative both do the Christmas Counts every year, so there is a personal connection. I also love how it called the child a "nestling" (I just think that is so cute) and cites nesting sites all over- including oak tree boles and upon high tors. Excellent that they include higher level vocabulary in context for the child to become familiar with. Pictures are simple but beautiful. At the end are fun facts about each bird, so we usually "learn" a new bird each time we read it (although its become nightly, so we are now reviewing bird facts). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We ended up buying it since she enjoyed it at bedtime so much

A gentle story with simple text relays all the various places different species of birds nest. Educational and beautiful.
