This enchanting novel is set on the beautiful Pacific Northwest coast. Teen Trevor and his father return to the family's crumbling turn-of-the-century mansion where Trevor meets his grandfather and Aunt Serena for the first time. Wonderful character development and a plot that surprises. In addition, Trevor's great uncle's ghost shares with Trevor the family's history of logging and forbidden love.

I really wanted to love this book. I had high expectations because I loved The Art Of Racing In The Rain. This was meh. It started good but it was slow and hokey.
