When he is rescued from a freezing black eddy by a beautiful woman named Rikki, Lev Prakenskii, who has no memory of who he is or why he possesses the instincts of a trained killer, fears for his life and the life of his savior.
I've rather enjoyed reading about Lev, as well as the other of the 7 Prakenskii brothers --Ilya...the youngest...was first introduced in the Drake sisters series-- that appears in the Sisters of the Heart series. These are very tough and powerful mortal humans...though, I doubt they could defeat a Carpathian tween in a fight...if they every appeared together in a crossover series. I have found this to be a more...relaxing read, as compared to Hidden Currents, where Elle was so...abused, in the opening chapters of the book. I'd also would love to see how well the 5 Ferraro brothers from the new Shadow Riders series would interact with either the Prakenskii brothers and/or Carpathian warriors in a crossover novel...might be fun. I hope Christine Feehan writes that kind of novel, someday.
Another winner from Christine Feehan! She never disappoints. Loved Rikki and Lev. A must read. Happy Reading!

This is pretty much the beginning of a series in sequel to the Drake Sisters. This particular novel explored the real of high functioning autism, which was very interesting. if you enjoyed the first part of Sea Haven's stories you will not be disappointed in these next installments!
*Note, Drake sisters have not as yet been very involved as this series seems to involve the Prakenskii brothers with the "sisters" of a Drake cousin
A sweet story set in Seahaven just after the wedding in "Hidden Currents." Rikki is an autistic sea urchin diver who can control water, who is being stalked by an arsonist. Lev Prakenski is Ilya's older brother, managed to escape a sinking ship, and wants to retire from the shadow life when he meets his fated female. Who he tries to strangle(accidentally). I wonder if the other five brothers will make their way to Seahaven in subsequent books? Rikki has five Sisters of the Heart who are all single. 8-15-11 I was right. I checked CF's website and found out that SPIRIT BOUND(due out 12-28-11) is about Judith and Stephen Prakenski. Coincidence? I don't think so.
