The entire Nicolas Le Floch detective series is absolutely outstanding. Fascinating to read how policemen in 18th century France solved crimes without all the modern gadgets and science of today. The author is an historian and you learn so much about the times (some of which is gruesome). Definitely recommended for those who like historical mysteries.
