The first four issues of a twelve issue series, we get four seemingly self-contained stories featuring the first four Doctors. This volume has the main storyline almost as an afterthought and pulls off the mystery well. At this point in the Doctor's life, it is almost considered a footnote. Very well played, this gets half a star less than the other two volumes simply because there's more to the other two volumes. The art varies between issues but the art through this volume is pretty solid.
