Really good book, the author traces 3 branches of his family tree. Sad to read about the branch that stayed in Europe though. Using letters, diaries, and the Nazi's own records, he details what happened as that whole branch was wiped out.

Fascinating and heartbreaking. The author's meticulously researched tale puts very human faces on famous events.

Pay attention. Lots to learn from an era we thought long ended.
