Excellent ideas for trying to fix the American problem of big government. Term limits for congress and Supreme Court would make such a difference and if done years ago could have prevented the current climate we're in. I couldn't agree more with Levin's ideas regarding power back to the states and allowing the people to decide where and how their money is spent by the government.

Other than his Obama bashing every other sentence, this is an ok look at how we got to this mess we're in...
He has nothing good to say about liberals, and very little bad to say about conservatives...
He doesn't address the Corporate takeover of government and the Supreme court in the 1830's, the Fed takeover in 1913, the attempted military coup against Roosevelt in the 30's, Nixon taking us off the Gold standard, Reagan Quadrupling the debt and doubling the size of Government, Greenspan making the taxpayer responsible for Wall Street profits, W Bush's unfunded wars... etc... etc...
But other than that, it is at least one angry man's take on Gummint and those danged hippies that are hell-bent on sucking the life out of our poor CEO's...
Enjoy it with a grain of salt...

Levin's analysis of the problem of creeping statism is excellent. However, his solutions only move the goal posts back and draw lines in the sand. In many ways, the solutions will add complexity and confusion to government without solving the problems and possibly creating more problems. Those looking for an historical assessment of the problems and how we got to statism will find a lot of those answers in this book. However, those looking for amendments which enshrine the functions of government in principle will find instead a laundry list of conceivably pragmatic but ultimately unsatisfactory prescriptions.

Excellent! An actual plan to restore the United States of America to its original form of government by the people. This is a workable plan, well constructed. Let's do this!
