I enjoyed this story because of the history portion but I also enjoyed getting to know his son. I hope Miss Mary and Ian are brought back in a later story.

Have you ever looked at a picture of Queen Elizabeth I and said to yourself, "My what masculine features you have?" If not, Google a painting of her now. I'll wait.
...........................See?
Now, imagine a novel that uses good old fashioned detective work to further convince you that Europe's most influential leaders was not who she said she was.
While this is fictitious, you will close this book with more than a few questions about this history you know to be fact.

I really liked this book. I am nut for English history, and while I did find some repetition as one reader commented, it didn't bother me so much. I like the fact that this book is based on a real legend and a real story by Bram Stoker-and a very interesting one at that!

Too much descriptive detail for my taste. The story line gets lost in the description. Didn't finish the book.

I found this book to be okay- the plot started out interesting but then it quickly changed into the ridiculous. I found the quality of the writing to be rather poor near the end...
I DO however want to travel to London to see many of the sites and paintings that are described in the book.

I just need a few more days to finish this book. May I have a short extension to my current renewal?
