Tarantino Grind-House genre meets fantastical Holocaust revenge story... but it doesn't... quite... work. We would all love to have seen the monsters get their just desserts in just such a fashion, but it didn't happen that way in…

one of the best in Tarantino's revisionist history universe, obviously Pitt is the big draw and his over the top acting is worthy of many laughs, but the best performance and maybe one of the best ever is the charming and terrifying…

In Tarantino’s best work plot and characters fuse into diamond-hard creations; in ‘Basterds’ elements wander around without much focus. Still pretty great, with his usual homage to cultural salients (‘The Dirty Dozen,’ ‘Good, the Bad &…

Tarantino's best-written character. He has that right. Until halfway to "bingo."

In my list of favorite movies "Inglourious Basterds" is a masterpiece from beginning to end. I love it from the first accord of music and last replica. It's a brilliant tale about war, with Tarantino's signature style, of blood and…

Nope. I couldn't get into wish fulfillment war porn or that movie was produced by the Weinstein brothers from the ending credits. Yikes.

Couldn't get past the depth of graphics violence in this film, so could not tell you whether the acting was good or not. I think it could have been perhaps a good movie without going so dark and violent. Don't like these kind of movies.…

Wow! I just read several of the comments and wonder if we watched the same movie. The story line is ridiculous even for a "what if" movie, Brad Pitt's best scenes were the ones he was absent from, and I'd question whether the director…

For history fanatics, this movie may be an appealing choice. Set in France during World War II, the brutal Nazi regime is occupying the French territory. A group of young Jewish-American soldiers are in France with the goal of…

This is a 2009 German-American fantasy-war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film makes up and depicts a fictional alternate history about the assassination of the Nazi Germany's political leadership. A young French…

This was another remarkable movie by Tarantino. I loved all the character and was incredibly impressed by all the actors. Especially Brad Pitt, Christoph Walts, Diane Kruger, Michael Fassbender and Melanie Laurent. I can't explain this…

This is a Tarantino film so you expect a lot of ultra violence and outlandishness. Christoph Waltz did an excellent job portraying an evil Nazi SS officer. Very entertainment if you have the stomach for certain scenes.

A really lousy movie.

Typical Quentin Tarantino trash....blood and guts. Could have been a good movie if the screenplay had historical authenticity. Brad Pitt is so unbelievable and stupid - trying to pull himself off as an Italian with a country boy…

Even if you wish that Hitler had died in the manner depicted in this film, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is nothing more than revenge fantasy war porn. Ugh.

Though it feels a 2 hour movie in a 3 hour body, the interminable scenes of setup before each violent denouement are at least quite well done. Even if it wasn’t the tightest film it was at least thankfully less self-indulgent than Kill…

This is not a review of Tarantino's film, his best since "Reservoir Dogs," but a recommendation for the 1978 Italian movie "The Inglorious Bastards," which inspired this. Aside from the WW2 setting and the guys on a mission plot, they have…

How WW II should have ended. If you can accept a film that is a collection of set pieces that don't quite hang together (honestly, what was with that scene with Mike Myers and Jabba the Hut Churchill?) you're in for a lot of shameful joy.…

This was definitely better than I expected it to be. The plot is creative, interesting, and entertaining. What a revenge--to turn a movie theater into an "extermination chamber" and to have a Jewish face on the screen, laughing in the…

Good classic flick, in the lines of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone... Some reviewers here take themselves too seriously... The gore won't affect your popcorn taste buds... Enjoy

I still hold to the fact that Pulp Fiction is Tarentino's masterpeice and he has never outdone himself since. That being said, this movie is great. Entertaining. Great characters. well acted. Great dialogue. The story is of course twisted…

Yep. With Brad Pitt's mediocrity, Quentin Tarantino's incompetence and "Dialogue Overload" (aka. Talking the audience to death, literally), Inglourious Basterds was the "Triple-Whammy"._____ And with "Dialogue Overload", director Tarantino…

A feast for Tarantino fans. Christoph Waltz is mesmerizing, but all of the cast is excellent. I especially enjoyed the performances of Pitt, Michael Fassbinder and Mike Meyers. Loved it!
