I was glad that HPL had at least one copy of this DVD. Yes, it's a sendup of Clint Eastwood Western films but with an Asian perspective. Would help if HPL's Full Record listed actor Yi, Piyong Hun as the more recognizable Lee, Byung-hun…

An Asian Western! For the most part I really enjoyed this movie (and not just because the Good and the Bad guys were gorgeous former models, though that didn't hurt!) and will be watching it again in the future.

Took itself way too seriously for how ridiculous it was; could've worked as more of a comedy.

The Asians are doing a great job of putting Hollywood to shame with innovative movies. This one is an excellent example of tongue in cheek imitation of a Hollywood genre carried into pre-WWII Korea and Manchuria. If you can read the…

Brainless. Chicken feathers and ninja stars flying everywhere. A discredit to the original. Don't waste your time.

Kim Jee-Woon’s hyperactive homage to Sergio Leone plays like a spaghetti western with a whopping big side of kimchi...extra spicy! Suffice to say it involves a motley crew of colourful ne’er-do-wells in 1930’s Manchuria furiously crossing…

If you want action then this is a flick for you. Don't blame me if you ask yourself WHAT WAS ALL THIS ABOUT when the credits zoom by.

I thought this was really well put together film. I wish hollywood would start making action films of this magnitude.

This movie in Korean/Chinese with subtitles felt like a Jackie Chan/Quentin Tarantino collaboration. Throw in a very 'Mad Max' sort of Western feel and you'd think it would be better than it was. Some humour, LOTS of gunplay and blood,…

There's great fun to be had in this action-driven "Korean Noodle Western" ! However, the opening Railroad Train action and cinematography raised my expectations too high ! ...but then it settled down to 'chase and shoots', and…

I expected this to be better. Had enough action to keep me mildly interested, but the plot and dialogue were just not on par with a good american action flick. Had potential. Seemed overlong. Steals from (shocker) The Good, The Bad and The…

Great action, something different then what usually comes out of Korean cinema. The director did a complete 180 from his previous movie "A tale of two sisters" that one was focused on story while this one was focused on action. I don't…

I really enjoyed this one. It's an action-western. It's a both fun and exciting movie, which can be a bit humorous at times too. It takes you right to the end and finishes well. It is subtitled for those who don't speak Korean. < I…

Lots of action but the two of the three main characters in the movie are very annoying.

Fun movie! More like Raiders of the Lost Ark than like its title cousin. One particular homage to Indiana Jones - character being dragged behind a jeep holding a rope...sound familiar? The last scene, while inspired by the Sergio Leone, is…

A much more complicated "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" than Clint Eastwood version that took place in the Manchuria desert at the border of China and Korea during the occupation by Japan during 1920's. Ending left viewers wanting but…

A great, high energy Asian Western movie. I didn't think it needed any martial arts...if anything, martial arts would have looked out of place in this movie. Tons of action, chases, gun fights and blood, sprinkled with some funny moments.…

Enjoyed it. Tarantino-ish action and music went a long way to making it very watchable. I loved the camera work...interesting POV shots.

It's a very highly entertaining movie. I think it's better than Quentin Taratino's cowboy film such "Hell Ride" or "Sukiyaki Western Django" because it's more sophisticated. "Horse rides + Guitar Music" is an excellent mix.
